The Doo Wop Box III (also known as The Doo Wop Box 3: 101 More Vocal Group Gems) is a 4CD anthology released by Rhino Records in August 2000. It follows the first two highly regarded volumes in their Doo Wop Box series and aims to deepen the exploration of vocal harmonies from the golden era of doowop.

• Disc 1 & 2 ("Hits" & "ShouldHaveBeen Hits")
  These two discs offer a strong collection of lesserknown classics and nearhits that weren’t included in earlier volumes. Highlights include tracks like Stranded in the Jungle (The Cadets), Zoop (The Charts), The Way You Look Tonight (The Jaguars), and Try the Impossible (Lee Andrews & the Hearts)

• Disc 3 ("Celebrity Picks")
  Selected by notable music personalities including Art and Aaron Neville, George Carlin, Frank Zappa, the Alvin brothers, and others. The selections range from fan favorites like Most of All (The Moonglows) and The Vow (The Flamingos) to more obscure gems

• Disc 4 ("Modern Doo Wop")
  Devoted to 1970s onward doowop reinterpretations by artists like The Persuasions (with their 1977 Looking for an Echo), Boyz II Men, Paul Simon, the Flying Pickets, Linda Ronstadt, and more. Some listeners find this disc a mixed bag: entertaining but tonally distant from the “classic” sound
