The 2005 "Signature Edition" features a powerful DTS track and a remastered widescreen picture. It incorporates many of the additional features found on the original 1998 release's OM disc, including making-of documentaries and informational segments on the solar system and the history of space travel. While the new edition offers more convenient viewing, it does not include the virtual datacenter of space and NASA information present in the ROM disc. The supplementary discs primarily serve to accommodate both the DTS and 5.1 soundtracks without introducing new content. --Doug Thomas
